Don’t people dance on TikTok?

The name of our network, Stars Don’t Dance, isn’t meant to suggest that creators don’t or shouldn’t dance. We fully recognize that dance is a cornerstone of TikTok content, videos, and livestreams, and an integral part of many creators’ expression.

Instead, the name reflects our acknowledgment of the deeper reality of today’s content creators—they’re not just dancing or entertaining; they’re building communities and a livelihood. Behind every video is hustle, dedication, and hard work crafting content that engages, entertains, and adds value.

We honour creators’ efforts and underscore that their work is meaningful, not just as entertainment, but as a professional endeavour that brings people together and supports their income and aspirations.

How does it work?

Stars Don’t Dance operates differently from traditional agency/network models by not taking a cut from the creator’s income. Instead, we earn our revenue from TikTok’s portion of the income generated through gifting, subscriptions, and other platform monetization features.  In essence, TikTok is outsourcing its work in supporting creators to us, allowing us to provide mentorship, training, and strategic guidance directly to creators.

This ensures that creators retain 100% of their earnings while still benefiting from our mentorship, training, and strategic support. By aligning our success with the platform’s performance, we create a model that prioritizes the creators’ financial growth and success without impacting their direct earnings.
